Aixterior & Megascans

ASSH = Asset Handler

Note: Do not rename Files from Aixterior and Quixel. The script will throw a failure while parsing. Avoid own folder hierarchies. It will not parse folder recursively – performance wise.

Link Quixel`s Bridge (Megascans)

With Version 1.20.3 you can link the Quixel Bridge directly

Go to “Preferences” and press “Additional Library”. “Add Library” and there you choose “MEGASCANS_Library”.

Under Windows the usuall path to the Megascans assets is located here: C:\Users\<YOU>\Documents\Megascans Library

Download Assets via Quixel`s Bridge and access through the ASSH
Use the quick refresh button to get new downloaded assets

Link separate folder (Megascans & Aixterior)

Place your Aixterior or Megascans you downloaded in the Library corrosponding folder
Megascans Files (straight from Quixel; .hda, *_meta.json generated from the Asset Handler)

To avoid Problems while scanning with existing Quixel/Megascans Libraries, especially with non flat folder structures, you have to set a own Additional Library for every Megascan type.
